Tilly Tennant was born in Dorset, the oldest of four children, but now lives in Staffordshire with a family of her own. After years of dismal and disastrous jobs, including paper plate stacking, shop girl, newspaper promotions and waitressing (she never could carry a bowl of soup without spilling a bit), she decided to indulge her passion for the written word by embarking on a degree in English and creative writing, graduating in 2009 with first class honours. She wrote her first novel in 2007 during her first summer break at university and has not stopped writing since. She also works as a freelance fiction editor, and considers herself very lucky that this enables her to read many wonderful books before the rest of the world gets them.

The book cover is pretty, it conveys the novel well but its not really eye-catching or attention-drawing. Maybe try another one? With realistic pictures instead of drawings? Just a suggestion. 🙂

I have read the little village bakery. And am half way through Christmas at the little village bakery but don’t want it to end!! I love them! Will you be doing anymore little village bakery? As I love all the characters and the story line it’s brilliant!!

Hi Tilly, I was first introduced to your books last year after I eased down from work a bit and my daughter bought me ‘The little village bakery’. I was totally hooked and struggled to put it down, not wanting to get to the end as I didn’t want to it to finish! Imagine my excitement when I was then gifted ‘Christmas at the little village bakery’! It was so good to read a continuation of the lifes of Millie, Dylan, Spencer and everyone else in Honeybourne. Now I have just finished reading ‘Mishaps in Millrise’ and just loved it! Never stop doing what you’re doing. You are one brilliant writer, always adding so much life to every character and injecting each chapter with humour and an anticipation of what is going to happen next. All I can say is thank you for enriching my life with your brilliant talent x
